Is there anything worse than the heart ache that follows a break up? It's the worst, right? You want to
get gf back, and until you do, it feels like someone is punching you in the stomach over and over. And over again. And if you're like me, you just can't seem to function after you've been dumped. Everything becomes 10 times more difficult. It's harder to get out of bed in the morning. It's harder to go to work. Hell, it's harder to do anything.
So why are breakups so painful? Well, one reason is because you spend so much time obsessing about your ex. When you wake up, your ex is on your mind. When you jump in the shower, your ex is on your mind. And when you're brushing your teeth, who's on your mind? You guessed it: your ex! With all of those thoughts, it's impossible to think about anything else. And as a result, the pain just grows and grows instead of fading. Think about it for a second. When do we usually start feeling better about a breakup? When we stop thinking about it!
Now, with that in mind, it's time to learn a very simple exercise for relaxing your mind and temporarily forgetting about wanting to get gf back (so you can feel better). First, stop everything else you're doing. No texting. No facebooking. Just read, and get ready to relax. Are you ready? Ok... let's begin. First, I want you to try to clear your mind. Don't think about your ex. Don't think about your job. Don't think about anything other than a clear, relaxed mind. Next, I want you to breath naturally and listen to your breath. As you exhale, I want you to focus on the sound it makes, and do the same as you inhale. Once you're focused on your breathing, I want you to try to feel your heart beating. It might be difficult to do, but I want you to try. Now, you should be listening to your breathing and feeling your heart beats. At this point, you should be feeling a little more relaxed. Finally, while continuing the previous steps, I want you to try to feel the air blowing over your arms. So to recap... you should be listening to your breathing, feeling your heart as it beats, and feeling the wind as it blows over your arms. Keep doing all of these things for a few minutes. Don't worry, I'll wait.
Ok. How do you feel? Better, right? When you preoccupy your brain with enough tasks, it won't be able to think about your ex, and you'll be able to feel better. Magic, right? Now, if you're ready to learn a more permanent technique for feeling better after a breakup, watch
this video. It will help keep you relaxed, and more importantly, it will help you get gf back!
